As part of Student Affairs Week, the Division of Student Affairs is excited to host its inaugural Involvement to Industry Conference for students and alumni. Students will gain knowledge about how to leverage their advanced leadership skills and experiences from their collegiate involvement to their careers, learning directly from our alumni as guest speakers. Tracks designed specifically for alumni will aid in professional growth and transitions, while fostering their continued connection to Illinois State and to current students.
The conference will feature high-energy RED[bird] Talks, breakout sessions, a networking lunch, and an engaging Birds Bookshelf session. The full conference schedule, including featured speakers, will be available in August.
8:30-9:15 a.m.- Registration
8:30-9:25 a.m.- Breakfast hosted by Division of Student Affairs staff
9:30-10:00 a.m.- Welcome and RED[bird] Talks, similar to TED Talks
10:15-11:00 a.m.- Breakout Session 1
11:15 a.m.-Noon- Breakout Session 2
Noon- 1:00 p.m.- Networking lunch
1:15-2:35 p.m.- Birds Bookshelf, similar to a Human Library
2:45-3:30 p.m.- RED[bird] Talks and Closing
3:30-4:00 p.m.- Informal social/gathering*
4:00-5:00 p.m.- Campus revitalization tours*
There is a $10 fee for students and a $20 fee for alumni/professionals. The conference fee includes breakfast and lunch.
