The Division of Student Affairs has a strong commitment to the professional development of our staff, as it is vital to the success of our mission. Staff is provided with numerous opportunities to participate in various Division-wide programs each year from webinars and workshops to team-building exercises and nationally-recognized speakers. Professional development programs will fall under one or more of seven different knowledge areas:
- Student Advising & Support
- Teamwork, Mentorship & Interpersonal Skills
- Leadership Competencies
- Personal & Career Development
- Productivity & Problem Solving
- Global Perspective & Worldviews
- Digital Fluency & Assessment

When appropriate, student workers and graduate assistants are invited to participate in these offerings. In addition to Division-wide initiatives, individual departments offer professional development opportunities and encourage participation in professional organizations.
