In the 2016-2017 academic year, 141 students who received services from SAAS graduated.
Student Access and Accommodation Services nominated a student, Ahmad Mshaiel, for the AHEAD Student Recognition Award for 2017. He will accept the award at the AHEAD National Conference on July 21 in Orlando, Florida.
In Fall 2016 we provided accommodations/services to 795 students at Illinois State. In Spring 2017 we provided accommodations/services for 735 students.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, we awarded 8 students a total of $18,000 in scholarships.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, we proctored 3,896 exams.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, we awarded 34,631 volunteer/service hours.
In March 2017, SAAS held the first Disability Awareness Event that featured Matt Glowacki. The event and the turnout far exceeded our expectations.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, SAAS converted 497 books/articles, a total of 170,771 pages, to electronic text.
In the 2016-2017 academic year, SAAS captioned 1,434 videos, a total of 17,759 minutes.
